Help Fund Gray Eagle Wilderness Camp for Youth&Young Adults.
“My name is Kenneth Gray, and I am the Director of Gray Eagle Wilderness Camp. We are excited to host our second annual 24-hour overnight camp, which is designed to help youth immerse themselves in nature, develop life skills, and build meaningful connections. The camp offers a variety of hands-on activities such as fishing, where campers can learn basic angling skills, and campfire building, where they’ll not only gather firewood but also learn how to safely start and maintain a campfire for cooking. We’ll be preparing meals together over the campfire, enhancing both practical skills and teamwork. Storytelling sessions will give campers a chance to share their own experiences or enjoy traditional camp stories, fostering creativity and bonding. We have also planned games like horseshoes, volleyball, and other outdoor group activities that encourage friendly competition and team spirit. Parents are encouraged to join in the activities alongside their children, as we believe this shared experience strengthens family bonds and creates memories that will last a lifetime. To ensure the camp runs smoothly, we are raising funds to cover the costs of food, cooking utensils, and an assortment of games to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging. The camp is held on a scenic, family-owned property belonging to the Scott family. We’ve invested time and resources into preparing the land by mowing the grass, trimming trees, and ensuring insect control so that the environment is safe and comfortable for everyone. Our vision is to create a space where young people can disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature, themselves, and one another. Through this experience, we hope to build friendships that will endure long after the campfire has burned out.”
